August, 2009 Update

Fellow AWC co-founder Ryan and I just got back from a fantastic trip down the Baja Peninsula. We brought a pile of wetsuits with us and were able to donate them to some places where they should get some great use. We left a few shorties with The Palapa Society, a wonderful non-profit organization working out of Todos Santos, Baja California Sur. We also dropped a bunch of wetsuits at the Cooperativo in Punta Abrejojos. A bunch of the youngsters there are learning to surf, and during the winter the thicker suits should be a real blessing.

We're planning another shipment of suits down to Northern Peru this fall, and are in the process of creating new partnerships with local groups in Lima (Peru) and Mar del Plata (Argentina).
